The Kentucky Health Literacy Summit brought together the top minds in health literacy in the state of Kentucky and elsewhere. Kentucky ranks high on the lists of states with sky-high rates of heart disease, obesity, and cancer. This summit was the first of its kind in Kentucky and will - we hope - pave the way for better health literacy for the Commonwealth.
Summit participants were asked to mention what their organizations were currently doing for health literacy. This is a visualization of those answers. This is a visual of a break-out session on Health Systems. Participants were asked to first comment on the proposed vision statement of the new Kentucky Health Literacy Coalition, then brainstorm places were health systems are found, then talk about problems and possible solutions in health systems in Kentucky. This material was communicated in the report-out session.
